Dr Isabella Fritz has been awarded the Wissenschaftspreis 2025

Dr Isabella Fritz has been awarded the Wissenschaftspreis 2025 for outstanding early-career researchers of the Austrian State of Vorarlberg. The prize is an annual award for scholars with origins in the region whose work has found international recognition. Isabella received the prize honouring her excellence in the fields of psycho- and neurolinguistics, innovatively approaching fundamental questions about language structure and change with experimental methods as pioneered by the Oxford Language and Brain Lab.

At the award ceremony in Dornbirn on 29th September, in the stylish gallery of the Zumtobel lightning works, Isabella was warmly supported by her lab colleagues from Oxford who had travelled to Austria for the occasion, and went on to celebrate with a traditional Austrian dinner, Wiener Schnitzel, Tafelspitz, Beuschel, Backhendl, Kaiserschmarrn, Gründer Veltliner, Zweigelt, Marillenbrand and all.
